News Round-Up for the Week of December 7

New console ports, an upcoming Muv-Luv event, an update on Sharin no Kuni, and more – check out the latest visual novel news!

Nekopara Vol. 4 Console Release Date

Following its PC release earlier this year, the publisher of Nekopara Vol. 4, CFK, confirmed that it will launch for the Switch and PS4 on December 22nd. It supports English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese language options.

Ai Kiss 2 Coming to PS4 and Switch

Entergram announced that the romance visual novel Ai Kiss 2, which came out for the PC in Japan earlier this year, will be released for the Switch and PS4 in Japan on March 25th, 2021. There has been no news of a potential English version.

Sugar Style Coming to PS4 and Switch

Entergram also announced PS4 and Switch versions of Sugar Style, which came out for the PC in Japan in 2019. Like Ai Kiss 2, they will be released on March 25th, 2021. There has been no news of a potential English version.

Muv-Luv Event Announced for December

A new Muv-Luv event has been announced for the end of December. It will run from December 29th to the 31st and cover both the franchise’s progress in 2020 as well as plans for 2021. There are several upcoming Muv-Luv projects, both spin-offs and a new full sequel, so we have a lot to look forward to. The Silver 2425 Switch Trailer

The first trailer has been released for the Switch version of The Silver 2425, which includes Suda51’s visual novel The Silver Case and its sequel The 25th Ward: The Silver Case. An English release has yet to be announced, but is widely anticipated.

Sharin no Kuni Release Window

It’s been a long road for fans waiting for the English localization of Sharin no Kuni, but the latest Kickstarter update includes a schedule of the remaining work to be done. If everything stays on track, both the PC and Vita versions will be released in March 2021. The update also included a short video showing some English footage.
